A oil on tin Bolivian Retablo. 7 1/2 " High 5 ¾" wide. Subject is San Antonio (St. Anthony). Holding a stem of lilies in his left hand and he is holding the Christ child and a book in his right arm. The Christ child is holding a sphere denoting that he is Christ over all the world. Saint Anthony is depicted wearing his blue robe that the Franciscans wore until 1897 when brown became the universal color for Franciscan habits. It is in good condition.
