10" X 14" Very nice late 1800's exvoto from Puebla, Mexico.
A nice Ex-Voto depicting after the Fuentes child slipped away by the river to pick berries the Fuentes family prayed to Sr. de Esquipules to save her from snakes that were tormenting her, probably water moccasins. Who are known to be quite aggressive. Their prayers where answered and the child was saved and this ex-voto was commissioned by them and given in honor of their prayers being answered.
